DAY 1 Delhi, India. Welcome to Delhi! Your hotel room is available for mid-afternoon check-in. This evening, sample local cuisine during your walking tour of Old Delhi. (D)

DAY 2 Delhi–Mussoorie. This morning, depart for a full day’s drive to Mussoorie, a colonial hill station town situated at the foothills of the Himalayas. Enjoy the evening at leisure. (B)

DAY 3 Mussoorie. Your sightseeing begins with a visit to George Everest’s House, the former home and laboratory of the Surveyor General of India. Today, it offers astounding views of the surrounding Doon Valley and Himalayan peaks. On your return to Mussoorie, learn about the spooky history at the Lambi Dhar mines. Continue to Landour, the quiet and charming neighbor town to Mussoorie. Stop at Landour Bakehouse, whose beautiful interior was created to replicate a typical 19th century bakery. The menu here features Landour’s authentic culinary traditions and history, offering fresh breads, cakes, teas, coffees and more. Later, visit Lal Tibba and Gun Hill Point for amazing views. (B)

DAY 4 Mussoorie–Dehradun–Rishikesh. This morning, travel to Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. Visit Robber’s Cave, a natural river cave formation, and Mindrolling Monastery, which houses one of the world’s largest stupas. Then, continue to the holy city of Rishikesh, located in the Himalayan foothills along the Ganges River. The birthplace of yoga, Rishikesh is renowned as a center for meditation and wellness. Tonight, your Local Host welcomes you to the city during a walking culinary tour where you’ll have the opportunity to taste local specialties, then witness the ganga aarti (spiritual worship) performed on the banks of the river. DAY 5 Rishikesh. Today’s activities are devoted to mind, body and spirit found in this magical town. First, visit the Beatles Ashram. The wildly popular British band travelled to the ashram in 1968 to study meditation; it was this experience along with the nature and simplicity of the surroundings that inspired many compositions, including the bulk of the White Album. Next, tour the largest ashram in Rishikesh, Parmarth Niketan. Later, learn the basics of Indian classical music and try your luck with your own instrument during an interactive lesson. Finally, reflect on your day during a meditation demonstration and practice this evening. (B)

DAY 6 Rishikesh–Delhi. Your vacation ends with a transfer to Delhi International Airport. Please schedule flights after 4pm. (B)
